The broken Soldier

A son runs naked across the room
Happy to make dad smile as he loam
Mum calls softly from the bathroom
Soon the water will not be that warm
And the son might not like the cold
Two decades later this mother weeps under the sheets
Her son is cold in the enemies'  forest fronts
She fears what the cold will do to her only borne
And almost wails at every report of a soldier's death
She tried to prevent it with all her heart
Tried to pray and fast, to void a dire hurt
Her husband had made up his mind
The son was convinced it comes with being kind
And the society praised a young man, to go to find
Service to his motherland
What lies deep beneath a young soldier's heart??
Before he lets loose his first aimed bullet,
Before he lands deep into a live battlefield,
Before he sees his first bullet tear into a man,
And the color of blood fills his virgin eyes
Is there courage like they are taught in those barracks
Or is there pride as he watches another man go in cracks
Does he sing and aim for his next, unknowing target
Or lingers to swallow the magnitude of what his hands managed
Is it true fear lies behind the barrel of a gun?
Yet a soldier is the symbol of brevity and courage?
Do their eyes show what their hearts feel
Or are they coached to hide their fears, for their country to heal
A mother moans one less son to a bullet
A young woman cries her husband of one year is missing
A girl weeps her dad is never coming home again
I weep because their stories will never be told.

The Unbelieve

What crosses your mind in the morning,
After the night dreams of extreem moaning,
After you had to survive all my twilight manning,
Our tossing, turning, teasing and murmuring,
Only to wake up to a lone bedding???

Who do you blame for all the dreams?
Are the thoughts a cause for the extremes?
Am I a satam you wish dead in your days?
Or do you wish you never met my kind?
Am I a good future plan you keep under the sleeves...

How do you survive with that big a  speck??
How do you feel when the secret is that grave?
Do you plan to eventually have it out and drive?
Or is there a plan that Aliens will carry me alive?
To cease being in your existence...

Why would you treat me like a guys sock,
Keep me dirty and smelly and still want my smack
Tell your friends you would die for my spank
Then turn and in disgust give me a whack

Am the guy you will never tell you love
I invaded your heart, so I deserve no relieve
You are in THE UNBELIEVE, but you care that I live
And to you am just a stray love that is soon forgotten.

I believe in 'a dog and its day!!'
One day I will walk with a straight face during day
My affinity for night walks will ebb, and I will stay
I will sit besides a lass of substance to watch the bay
Right there will be your real UNBELIEVE

When the Broken sing

She sat at the crest of great turmoil
Watched her father attack her mother
Endured the screams while she slept
She sobbed,  burried in a mountain of clothes
To try shield herself from the torture

She grew and got educated in law
But the anger, pain and agony was still raw
Lost her mum at still an able age to live and laugh
She believed he had causes her sudden demise
The anger and angst grew at heart

To heal the broken heart and soul
God sent her a man of strength and patience
Though she rejected and loathed being with a man
His might and understanding made her sing again
As she helped other abused women in the village
The man taught her to tap that joy to heal herself

She had never thought she could trust a man again
Yet this one had forced her heart to soften again
She found her destiny in things she did to pass the time
And healed a society as she healed her soul
Finally she could sing again
To a tune of victory, peace and forgiveness

Icy winds turned warm and tender
The eagles stretched their injured wings
A strange and silent strength discovered...
When the broken sing.

The fields that have lain bare and barren,
Turn a cool refreshing green,
Diamonds stud the shocking blackness...
Where empty nothingness has been.

When the broken sing

This piece is got from something I read during the weekend and thought it's worth sharing. Its cheeky and fun, most importantly it has well laid down moral lessons for keeps. Enjoy and feel free to share with friends, they will ease on a moody monday.

Incase he doesn't find them fun or informative, sh** on him and let see how that goes. All the best and share your experience. No disclaimer, I'll pay up for any losses. Cheers!!!!

JUMP RIGHT IN..........

Lesson 1: Naked Wife
A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower when the doorbell rings. The wife quickly wraps herself
in a towel and runs downstairs. When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next door neighbor. Before she says a word, Bob says, “I’ll give you $800 to drop that towel.”
After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob.
After a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 dollars and leaves. The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs. When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks,

“Who was that?” “It was Bob the next door neighbor,” she replies. “Great!” the husband says, “Did he say anything about the $800 he
owes me?”

Moral of the story:
If you share critical information pertaining to credit and risk with your shareholders in time, you may be in a position to prevent
avoidable exposure.

Lesson 2:
A sales rep, an administration clerk, and the manager are walking to lunch when they find
an antique oil lamp. They rub it and a Genie comes out. The Genie says, “I’ll give each of you just one wish” “Me first! Me first!” says
the administration clerk. “I want to be in the Bahamas, driving a speedboat, without a care
in the world.” Poof! She’s gone. “Me next! Me next!” says the sales rep. “I want to be in Hawaii, relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life.” Poof! He’s gone. “OK, you’re up,” the Genie says to the manager. The manager says, “I want those two back in the office after lunch.”

Moral of the story: Always let your boss have the first say.

Lesson 3:
A priest offered a lift to a Nun. She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to reveal a leg. The priest nearly had an accident. After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand up her leg. The nun said,”Father, remember
Psalm 129?” The priest removed his hand. But,changing gears, he let his hand slide up her leg again. The nun once again said,
“Father, remember Psalm 129?” The priest apologized “Sorry sister but the flesh is weak.” Arriving at the convent, the nun went on her way. On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to look up Psalm 129. It said, “Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory.”

Moral of the story: If you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great opportunity.

Lesson 4:
A crow was sitting on a tree, doing nothing all day. A rabbit asked him,”Can I also sit like
you and do nothing all day long?” The crow answered: “Sure, why not.” So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the crow, and rested.
…A fox jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Moral of the story: To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very high up.

Lesson 5: Power of Charisma
A turkey was chatting with a bull “I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree,”
sighed the turkey, but I haven’t got the energy.” “Well, why don’t you nibble on my droppings?” replied the bull. “They’re packed
with nutrients.” The turkey pecked at a lump of dung and found that it gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the
tree. The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally after a fourth night, there he was proudly
perched at the top of the tree. Soon he was spotted by a farmer, who shot the turkey out of the tree.

Moral of the story: Bullshit might get you to the top, but it wont keep you there.

Lesson 6:
A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field. While he was lying
there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him. As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how
warm he was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and
soon began to sing for joy. A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat
discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.

Moral of the story:
1. Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy
2. Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend
3. And when you’re in deep shit, it’s best to keep your mouth shut !

How to lose a Friend

This is a DIY Guide on "How to lose a friend....."

We've made friends since we were one day old, we make them in all ways, places and time. What we do with them is the main issue here.

I have made a myriad of them myself, I make them with my eyes, some I touch them and we are friends, some we collide along the pavements, we sit beside them in matatus, we spend in a jail cell together, we queue in a bank , we meet in weddings, parties, funerals and classes too.

All this are places we meet people who end up been friends. I met one in a washroom in Thika town three years ago. No, we didn't talk while taking a piss, guys don't do that, we don't talk while holding 'little john'. It's awkward and inappropriate. Girls do that, they bond in those places, they borrow and exchange stuff in there, they advice each other or mislead each other in there, they repair their make-ups in there too. Its a nice place.

I happened to talk to my friend because, my almost decade old shoe failed me, I slid, I was heading to the damned stinking floor, As I was deciding fast what part of my body will land first, hand, head, butt or my face, he held me, he rescued my sweet ass, held my helpless board (read body). I was ashamed, but elated.

He let go his 'jonny' and helped a dying brother, he became my brother, he became my friend, he still is.

How can you lose a friend??? I will tell you how. Take a moment and imagine every of your friends, now imagine you've lost all of them. What is it that you can do to warrant such??? What would they do to cease being your friends???

I've met my fair share of them, and lost a big chunk.
BETRAYAL. This is a common way to lose them, get used to betraying your friends and you'll lose them east, west, north and south. Just because you think its right to call her mother and tell on her you think it will be alright??? No, it won't. If a friend shares a secret with you, it is in confidence, shut your gop.

STATUS CHANGE. I will not try to define that, but whenever you get a step ahead, school, workplace, or in the hood, always remember ideals change, stories change, interests, hobbies and perceptions  change. When any of these change, friends change too, you seek where you are comfortable, because even previous friends feel out of place sometimes with you. Times you get one or two who remains, keep them, try to live with them, you'll need them sometime.

BORROWING. You will lose them at record time, it will be dangerous to be close to you, your friends will avoid you and they will have good reasons for it!! Avoid it, borrow when you must, make it rare.......

Below is my pot-full of them reasons. For some reasons this post is becoming too obvious, too predictable. Its easy, you will lose friends if you gossip about them, if you assume every friend is a new lover, if you try to mendle in their relationships, and breaking promises.

Don't become awkwardly friendly to your friends boyfriend/lover. They will hate you, you will be misunderstood. Leave your invitations to your friends don't extend them to everyone. If you make fun of a friend in the presence of your other friends, they will hate you, especially if he/she doesn't know them well. Avoid using strange jargons with one friend when the other doesn't know their meanings. They will not ask, they will be on their heels....

If you start being too serious you will lose them too, turn to be very playful, childish and uncontrollable and they will run.

Enough education on the obvious. Make sure to ask the teacher questions on our next class. Good day people. Make a friend before sunset today, because you might lose another before sunrise tomorrow. I hope you don't.....

Morning After

Treasures of the morning taste
Harbored by the black night haste
And the twists of my minds state
Of a sweet yet long a dream
And all the blame is on you

On all the lovely moments with you
And the fantasies to keep me blue
All in time never always damn true
In a wink the night clears and we through
Then light awakens our reality, its back to real world....

Loise. Its a german name for a girl, this one is a lady, beautiful, intelligent and edgy. The name means a 'famous wayrrior.' This one is a one esteemed warrior, remarkable smile, and an eminent personality. To me she is all these things and more, because you can't cleary define her; hell, no lady should be any way definable. So she is mysterious, the kind that you can't get tired to be with, to sit somewhere and talk, to walk under a parade of shades beside those earth roads, or sit on a stone on a cold evening to discuss her day or yours. She is intellfigent, careful and rather edgy sometimes, and I love edgy, because with it comes a lady who can talk her mind, an open one not afraid to say something because it might hurt: that to me is excellent because i like friends honest, i like them stronger than I am. If you can be honest and open with me, be easy to rebuke me, and critisize me when am wrong or heading in the wrong way then to me you are precious. This lady is even funny, great sence of humor U must add, and to me that is beyond an expectation, it's a requirement. This day I was to meet her at her home town, a place well known to me by name, least by engagements. At noon am off to stage, its a rather good feeling and a ready for a great saturday afternoon. She had managed to trick me into a meeting, she never goes for dates only meetings. I was excited for it, I wanted it I was just not so courageous to propose it. I got there in time, she was late but that wasn't of any concern to me because she came, it was raining but she came, she had things to do at home but left them and honored our meeting, she could have given me a vage reason not to come, but she didn't I loved her on that. The rain is still pounding, I have refused to order anything before she comes, and its cold, cold because I've settled at an outside setting in this decent restaurant. She came, smiled from a far and enlightened the meeting already. I was glad to see her, maybe posed an even too much a smile(only she could tell). She spotted a yellow tshirt with sleek green lines along the seamlines and zip-line, I loved it. She had locks held nicely at the symmetry of her shapely head, she was sexy to watch, every man agreed with me because all over a sudden the table we were on suddenly became a scene, she had changed it from a dull point with a strange lonely dude to a scene, a beautiful scene, a second look worth, warm and tempting, her curves and her creavage helped. This is not about that meeting but I will say it was a great outinng for me, we had fun, we talked, we ate a wierd meal for an evening but we were thankful. I even took a few pictures of her for posterity, some moments need to be stored, a boy or girl in this age of yellow purple and orange skinny jeans might use it for a college project about a good date. She is a strong willed lady, ready to ask so you can tell it's never awkward when you spend a day with her, she spots a cute smile, curvy and sexy. If you make her smile once, your heart will be troubled if she ainn't smiling every moment she is with you, because her face was made to smile, her lips were made to make a gentleman take her serious. Ok! I will stop with these because it makes me miss the human being she is, makes me want to overthink, it's not good when I overthink. I wrote about her because to me she is an enigma, to every friend of her she is a treasure, to family I bet she is more than I could describe in words, but my grateful heart can allow her good heart and beaty live undocumented, if heaven asks me what I did with my life, among a novel of stories and fairly tails I'll narrate to my maker I'll leave a paragraph for her, it might help to soften my judgement, such a lovely soul. Whenever you meet a person like her in this life, you are glad, you tell God to enable you meet her kind, because on top of being a nice person for a friend, she advices, she inspires and she cares about her friends. When she asks how your day was, or how you are, you feel the concern, you envy the care and you love your careful explanation. Loise you are the best.

Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt About His Wife :
"My wife got sick. She was constantly nervous because of problems at work, personal life, her failures and problems with children.

She has lost 30 pounds and weighted about 90 pounds in her 35 years. She got very skinny, and was constantly crying. She was not a happy woman.

She had suffered from continuing headaches, heart pain and jammed nerves in her back and ribs. She did not sleep well, falling asleep only in the morning and got tired very quickly during the day.

Our relationship was on the verge of break up. Her beauty was leaving her somewhere, she had bags under her eyes, she was poking her head, and stopped taking care of herself.

She refused to shoot the films and rejected any role. I lost hope and thought that we’ll get divorced soon…

But then I decided to act on it. After all I've got the most beautiful woman on the earth. She is the idol of more than half of men and women on earth, and I was the one allowed to fall asleep next to her and to hug her shoulders.

I began to pamper her with flowers, kisses and compliments. I surprised her and pleased her every minute. I gave her lots of gifts and lived just for her. I spoke in public only about her. I incorporated all themes in her direction. I praised her in front of her own and our mutual friends.

You won’t believe it, but she blossomed. She became even better than before. She gained weight, was no longer nervous and she loved me even more than ever. I had no clue that she CAN love that much.

And then I realized one thing: The woman is the reflection of her man.

If you love her to the point of madness, she will become it. " - Brad Pitt, A Secret of Love

Dear Friend

"Dear friend, WHAT and IF are two word as none threatening as words can be. Put them together side by side and they have the power to haunt you for the rest of your life. What if? What if? What if? I don't know how this story will end, but if what he feels now is true, then it will never be too late. If it is true now, it will forever be true; you shall need only the courage to follow your hearts. I would be wrong to say I know how love feels, like the one of Romeo and Juliet, love to cross mountains for, love to leave loved ones for, but what I do believe is if you will manage to feel it, you will have the courage to seize it. If you have not felt it yet, I hope one day you will." Ok! Thats a very nice letter I wrote to a lady friend of mine. She left a love she isnt sure she should have. Those are her words not mine. My two pence advice is, Life will forever put us in crossroads, what matters is choices, they have consequences but we should always stay in control. Make sure every choice you pick is a choice you can live and leave with. Our choices will not always be the right ones or the easy ones, times regrets, torment and second thoughts will mask our ability to stay peaceful, yet all we need is a small but strong voice to remind us that it a choice we took. I have my own experiences of my WHAT IF moments but what matters is, the point of my life and the situations I was going through at the time if played again, I would tend to take the same choices, and that matters to me, that helps to cool my memories. Too much pep talk, this poem below is a dedication for you. I dont know wheather its appropriate or not but what the hell I wrote it so it has to fit somewhere. All the best sister.. Mind and Heart apart I can hear your words lie to my ears, Be they neat and well thought out in tears Be they harsh and how grave your face appears Your eyes are adamant to follow where your mind steers And your shaking lips arent exactly in a mood of cheers Its tough when your lips shake while you talk Must be harder when your eyes stand in a yearn I soundly understand we must be apart from these spark I feel like a school boy on Sunday, tomorrow is a burn Yet I must leave to the land of my birth, to learn Dont force what your heart discerns false And your mind will be free from torment Allow what we both feel as true, the magic will lead Seize the reserves of your passion, destiny will head To be or not to be nature will clear the husky paths To feel or not to feel is beyond the whims of the earths

When You Breath…

Like a creepy stranger I linger in a seemingly useless moment, I listen from this end of the line, I urge you on, I encourage you to say something while I don’t want you to, and I want you to stammer, to murmur, your words to stumble. I take pleasure in that, when you are dump-founded, when you can’t say it, when the right words are beyond the moment. At that moment I listen to things you aren’t saying, to the wild thoughts you are struggling to ebb, to those words you wish you can say to me, to the faint heartbeat I can’t really hear but wish I could. I enjoy the incessant but hard flow, the only prelude to the words and thoughts in your mind; I listen to your breathing…
You breathe with a noticeable struggle, the kind that is brought by having a hush-hush. Your breathing has a tune, a sweet one, at least to me it has one, because I listen, am a fan. The kind that I only understand, I only have heard. Creepy huh!!! I know but my care is less, my worry is absent and my yearning to hear it again is constant, resilient and equally bizarre.
Why do you breathe with that soothing potency? Do you always reconsider things you would rather say? What is it that you search with all that trouble? I can only hope I will get to know one day, but then again my fun will lessen. Something tells me when I do, I will have conquered you, if I haven’t already and that’s the only fear I got in myself; then again you’ve got your reasons. When I call again I will listen, you will not know it but it will get there, I always make sure it does.
I know there are a million other reasons I like about you. There is a lot I miss you for but my ego only allows me to say these much, maybe the passion in me will make easy my willingness to strip, but before that happens i will be careful what I say here.

This is a tribute to the nice guys. The nice guys that finish last, that never become more than friends, that endure hours of whining and bi*ching about what a**holes guys are, while disproving the very point.

This is dedicated to those guys who always provide a shoulder to lean on but restrain themselves to tentative hugs, those guys who hold open doors and give reassuring pats on the back and sit patiently outside the changing room at department stores.

This is in honor of the guys that obligingly reiterate how cute/beautiful/smart/funny/sexy their female friends are at the appropriate moment, because they know most girls need that litany of support. This is in honor of the guys with open minds, with laid-back attitudes, with honest concern. This is in honor of the guys who respect a girl’s every facet, from her privacy to her theology to her clothing style.

This is for the guys who escort their drunk, bewildered female friends back from parties and never take advantage of them once they’re at her door, for the guys who accompany girls to bars as buffers against the rest of the creepy male population, for the guys who know a girl is fishing for compliments but give
them out anyway, for the guys who always play by the rules in a game where the rules favor cheaters.

For the guys who are accredited as boyfriend material but somehow don’t end up being boyfriends, for all the nice guys who are overlooked underestimated, and unappreciated, for all the nice guys who are manipulated, misled, and unjustly abandoned, this is for you.

This is for that time she left many urgent messages on your cell phone, and when you called her back, she spent three hours painstakingly dissecting two
sentences her boyfriend said to her over dinner. And even though you thought her boyfriend was a chump and a jerk, you assured her that it was all ok and she
shouldn’t worry about it. This is for that time she interrupted the best killing spree you’d ever orchestrated in GTA3 game to rant about a rumor that romantically linked her and the guy she thinks is the most repulsive person in the world.

And even though you thought it was immature and you had nothing against the guy, you paused the game for two hours and helped her concoct a counter-rumor to spread around the floor. This is also for that time she didn’t have a date, so after numerous vows that there was nothing “serious” between the two of you, she dragged you to a party where you knew nobody, the beer was awful, and she flirted shamelessly with you, justifying each fit of reckless teasing by announcing to everyone: “oh, but we’re just friends!” And even though you were invited purely as a symbolic warm body for her ego, you went anyways. Because you’re nice like that.

And I wish I could logically explain this trend, but I can’t. From what I have observed on campus and what I have learned from talking to friends at other
schools and in the workplace, the only conclusion I can form is that, it's just illogical.

Many of them claim they just want to date a nice guy, but when presented with such a specimen, they say irrational, confusing things such as “oh, he’s too nice to date” or “he would be a good boyfriend but he’s not for me” or “he already puts up with so much from me, I couldn’t possibly ask him out!” or the most frustrating of all: “no, it would ruin our friendship.”

Yet, they continue to lament the lack of datable men in the world, and they expect their too-nice-to-date male friends to sympathize and apologize for the men that are jerks. Sorry, guys, girls like that are beyond my ability to fathom.

I can’t figure out why the connection breaks down between what they say (I want a nice guy!) and what they do (I’m going to sleep with this complete ass now!). But one thing I can do, is say that the nice-guy-finishes-last phenomenon doesn’t last forever. There are definitely many girls who grow out of that train of thought and realize they should be dating the nice guys, not taking them for granted. The tricky part is finding those girls, and even trickier, finding the ones that are single.

So, until those girls are found, I propose a toast to all the nice guys. You know who you are, and I know you’re sick of hearing yourself described as
ubiquitously nice. But the truth of the matter is, the world needs your patience
in the department store, your holding open of doors, your party escorting services, your propensity to be a sucker for a pretty smile. For all the crazy,
insane, absurd things you tolerate, for all the situations where you are the faceless, nameless hero, my accolades, my acknowledgement, and my gratitude go out to you. You do have credibility in this society, and your well deserved
vindication is coming...

It wint be long redemption is coming...
